December 12 @ The Lab, a secret getaway for self-expansion hidden in West Los Angeles.
Welcome to ChocTalkz Episode Numero Dos!
Chocolate. Wisdom. Human Connection.
Guest numero dos is Ali Jangbar. My brother from another mother. Ali has a beautiful humble presence. He is a very pure, thoughtful, and generous soul. The first time I met Ali was at a Last Day on Earth event at my place in LA. He blew all 10 of us guests away later that night when he unveiled an original song “Hoka Hey”, all about today being a good day to die. It was a stunning performance; he is very musically talented and has amazing melodic skill for a man! I’ve really enjoyed exploring life, music, and vitality with Ali. Unfortunately, we cut this convo off early for a Flowmasters event, which got delayed, and we regretfully proceeded to have the most incredible unrecorded conversation for the next hour. Read his bio from him below and check out his resources.

LIVE AN EXTRAORDINARY LIFE
Here are the nuggets of wisdom that, if used by you, will turn your life into gold. To fall in love with life: discover what matters, recreate yourself, live with enthusiasm.
Don’t hit snooze on your heart
As Ernest Becker says the amazing book Denial of Death, we all have an urge for heroism buried within us. Yet, distract ourselves from this, and ultimately from our death. It’s very easy to distract yourself and stimulate yourself as Ali mentioned with his coffee habits. However, the best stimulation comes when you consciously stimulate your heart to do its work in the world.
How do you know what to create?
What would I use? What I enjoy creating? What would be a value for other people? Use these three questions to find a worthy cause for your creative juices.
Show up and engage with whatever is in front of you.
In order to fully experience this life, we must experience that which is in front of us. Ignoring or running from things will only help you escape for so long. Don’t lose the lesson that from the teacher that life has placed in front of you.
Wellness is the gateway. A portal to the higher way of life and self.
Focusing too much on spiritual ascension at first can have limited results. Instead, affect your biology and you will give yourself “a little nudge” on your path. Nurture yourself as the open receptive vessel that has the capacity to open you up to higher states.
Want to wield the sword? First, be worthy.
Sharpen your skills before you’re ready to wield the sword, meaning you are ready to have the power, skill, or ascension that you seek. Along your quest to wield the iron, the challenges you face are requirements for your growth. Just like in a video game, there are levels and smaller bosses you must slay before you meet the main boss. And the lessons you are ready for are the ones you will receive along the way. Sharpen your skills, step into the arena, and combine action and beingness to prove yourself worthy of your goal.
Is Rhythm the answer to life?
This was an open-ended topic that most certainly holds secrets of the universe within. As Ali said, rhythm is the answer to a lot of things. Dance. Heart rhythms. Movement. Thought. Coherence. Music is a universal language. What can you unlock in your life by tapping into rhythm? Let us know. Be creative.
What does your soul want to express? What is the feeling and message of your expression?
No need to worry, because we can be okay with not knowing this answer. Sometimes, it’s easier to let expression simply express, to let it be a little bit more without trying to fit it in a box. Express for expression’s sake. You might ask, ‘What’s inside of me that I can let out?’ This will help the creative spirit flow. Just be willing to notice the creative flow coming on and be willing to open the page and let it rip.
